Automated Train Examiner (ATEx) Systems

High speed wayside inspection and monitoring systems for low and high speed applications

These advanced wayside systems can reduce the costs and increase the accuracy of train inspections and maintenance practices.

ATEx  systems inspect the relevant train components and provide an alarm regime when critical points are reached. Information on each component is retained in a data base to enable trending and establish wear patterns

ATEx systems do not require a special infrastructure (no expensive pits) and there is no disruption to train operation during installation. The systems can be installed to measure components up to 100 km/hr. System components are

housed in robust and environmentally resistant enclosures.

ATEx systems are accurate and reliable, with excellent repeatability of measurements.

Wagon Design

Lynx design cars: light-weight, high capacity bulk material wagons

Lynxrail’s new generation wagon is adaptable to all axle loads and can be configured for rotary or bottom unloading.

Compared to traditional design, the Lynxrail car is lighter and has an increased carrying capacity.

The wagon has undergone rigorous design and testing, using state-of-the-art analyses and testing.

The wagon is used at the BHP Billiton iron ore line in Western Australia.

The Lynxrail design wagon was awarded a national Australian Engineering Excellence Award  and also won the overall Engineering Excellence Award for Western Australia.
